Hot Chocolate San Diego 2019!

Wooo signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k SD Race this year. I still remember the first time I ran my first HCSD run, it was my first run longer than 5 miles. I signed up the thurs before the race because none of my friends could hang out because they were ALL running it. The fomo was real and then I saw the AMAZING jacket that came with it. Needless to say I signed up, ran, was sore, but loved it!

I signed up again 2 years ago, but then the race dates changed and ended up conflicting with a rock climbing event I was going to so I ended up missing it. I was pretty sad. But I am stoked to run it again this year….(definitely not because I have a need to collect all the sweaters). Seriously one of the races with better swag. Also the medal for the 15k is soooo cute. (It’s a chocolate bar with a bite taken out of it).

If you’re looking for a fun run with cool swag to take home. Definitely try this one out. It has a good amount of hills if you are looking for a challenge (especially on the 15k route). You get to run through downtown San Diego. Plus there is Hot Chocolate at the end! Perfect for cold mornings.

I’m going to be running the 5k this time around instead of the 15k. Still letting a knee injury rest. (Still get that sweater for the 5k – recent change it used to only be given with the 15k).
